This TOMIX beginner's complete set includes the "500 Series Shinkansen Nozomi," making it the perfect introduction to model trains for immediate enjoyment. Its compact packaging makes storage easy. The 500 Series is a rolling stock developed exclusively by JR West for the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen. Characterized by a sharp, sleek design reminiscent of an aircraft, it traveled at 300 km/h, the fastest speed in the world at the time. It retired from service as the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen Nozomi in 2010 and is now operating as the "Kodama" train, stopping at every station on the Sanyo Shinkansen.
